Over at Christmas Island, Perth's Channel Seven newsreader Rick Ardon was making himself comfortable after arriving at the Indian ocean outpost last week. It took only a day before the immaculately attired anchorman had employed a local ironing lady and found himself a chauffeur. However these necessities of life weren't enough to save Ardon from some embarrassing on-air gaffes, including a moment when he was introduced by fellow anchor Susannah Carr back in the Perth studio. Obviously Ardon thought he wasn't live-to-air when he screwed up his script, threw it at the camera and walked off screen. Either that or he'd just realised his suit wasn't pressed properly.

It is the sixth time Seven has scored the victory. Seven also won every official ratings week this year and can claim it has not lost an official ratings period since 1992 - so it has won 161 consecutive weeks.
Seven won overall and the all-important, prime-time slot.
Nine in Perth has some cause for celebration at the end of the first week of unofficial survey. Its nightly news bulletin beat Seven for the first time in several years. Nine finished last week with an average of 165,000 viewers from Monday to Friday, ahead of Seven's 155,000. A Current Affair also beat Today Tonight - 145,000 viewers to 135,000. Nine's news fortunes have been improving for the past 18 months and it has beaten Seven on a nightly basis quite regularly. But a win over the week is important.
Nine's news audience is up by 26.92 per cent on the same period last year, while Seven's has fallen by 15.76 per cent.

She may be fake, but she is partner of the West Coast Eagles' captain, and correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't TVW a major supporter of the WCE?

Yes since 1987, Seven have supported Perth's first AFL team.

And that entitles her to the role how? She's a crap presenter and there are a lot of people who can do the job much better but they miss out just because they aren't fucking the captain of the West Coast Eagles. We really don't need to reward fucking dumbfuck footy players with a nice and easy TV job.

Oh and for the record, I agree with MM about the job. There's no way she's the best for the job but Seven won't cop the flak but the Seven crowd will be more than happy to give Natalia flak.
