I would like to create a forum. But i don't want to work out all that tricky HTML stuff. And it would need to be a FREE one. :)

I created one: Talk Place. A place for general chat and Television, would someone like to join?

:)

I got a problem. Most of the people at MS don't like Talk Place, or all my other Internet websites. What do you think of it? :)

It's not easy creating another website, especially when it involves a forum. People are creatures of habit, and generally don't like anything else until they get pissed off where they are currently. Trust me when I say media forums are not something that become popular over night, especially when the competition aren't having any problems. The other issue with media is that there's not a very big audience, so you're limited in the number of potential visitors you'll get anyway.

One suggestion though - if you are serious about running your own forum, then you simply can not use free hosting. Unless you're prepared to spend some cash, your site will not survive.

Or the alternative is a better site, forums don't have to be huge to be 'successful', they've just got to have a few dedicated people to run them and a few more insightful members to make it interesting to read and contribute to.

I'd say this is the best forum that is focused on media in Australia despite not being terribly big, the others I have come across are full of drivel and to get to insightful posts you have to wade through a lot of dribble if there is anything worthwhile.

OK, there is 2 things

1. Talk Place at the moment is a general forum.
2. i don't need hundreds of members, maybe 10 or 20.

I used to have my own forum, but it wasn't successful. Forums are hard to manage, you have to spend lots and lots of time running it, and advertising it :)
