How long will it be now before we see Weekend Sunrise on Saturday's too? We all know Boland can't stand not to be doing something that Nine's doing when it comes to morning television.

but they ran it live - dropping Go Diego & Dora (6 & 6.30)..
OK, so now I know what's going on too...(Nine obviously pulled this stunt so I (and many others) couldn't spoil it!!) but here we go;
STW's adaptations to the new lineup:
- They'll be taking the full hour of morning news, but dropping Entertainment Tonight for Alive & Cooking at 3pm,
- The late repeat of the 6pm bulletin will stay in at 11.30, with Nine's Late News to follow it at Midnight (that's Monday - Wednesday),
- Thursday there will be no network late news, just the 6pm repeat at 11.15 between the footy shows,
- Friday will only have the 6pm repeat after the 2nd movie (around Half Midnight)
- Today On Saturday (although running live from 5am - 7am last week), will be on the standard 2 hour delay following the network.
Network wise:
- There will still be a 1min 30 (2mins on the weekend) late news update around 2250, in a break of the 10.30 program...most likely now promoting the stories coming up.
- Millionaire Hot Seat will return for a second season once season 1's 4 weeks end. (solidifying the afternoon lineup)
Very interesting times ahead for Nine News...lets hope.

I read that on one of the news sites earlier
Must be one of Nine's new tactics to get viewers over... plenty of drunks there

It does seem to me from watching the grabs in TT's report that he is drunk. He's actually appears to be a better host drunk anyway so perhaps Nine should get him on the juice every morning before going on-air!!

These caps were taken at exactly the same time from STW and TCN. There is a rather big difference between broadcasting there are "reports that Jackson has died" and "Michael Jackson dead".

Not really, it is WIN after all. It's just really not good enough though... They stayed on a 2-hour delay for 4 hours after the news broke when there was a live feed of the Today Show available from TCN right up until 10am WST.

Rhetorical.
It's just too much effort for them to do something at such short notice as their sytems are so inflexible.
Well actually, I am surprised. WIN are usually quick to change schedules with regular programming (like shows being bumped, news being extended or sports coverage being brought forward). WIN WA usually take advantage of the 2 hour delay and air sports earlier, even before it reaches NEW10 or STW9. Why this isn't adhered to with breaking news coverage is beyond me. Seven got it right, didn't they?

Yeah it's not too bad now. I wasn't a fan of the huge screen at first, but after a while you get used to it.
Nice attempt too, cart, but not quite the same.
