This is Seven's long awaited attempt at a Sunday night News/Caff program. It will be interesting to see what Boland comes up with, Nightime Sunrise or something more 'up-market'.

I won't make a judgement until it airs, but the line-up of reporters so far doesn't feel me with confidence; Samantha Armytage, Monique Wright and Molly Meldrum. The fourth reporter however, Ross Coulthart, has a good record and is a welcome addition.

I'm expecting something a little more in the style of America's 20/20 program.

Best? good joke.
It's the most stale and predictable current affairs program.
60 Mins needs a huge kick up the arse.

Wow, it's like I've died and went to heaven. But then they realized it wasn't my time yet. So they sent me to a brewery.

It's Bath and Munro to host after all (apparently because their chemistry was better).

The debut will now be late Feb/early March because 7 are scared that the show will cop a belting from the Sunday ODIs on 9.

Yay for chris bath hosting she's a true act of class yet personable, funny and intellegent .perfect woman?

Gotta love the fun the papers have with her name.
"Seven takes a bath on sundays"-sunday telegraph...
I recall one before when she did the radio stint for vega..."vega takes bath over summer"

Next it'll be the promos..."time for your sunday bath"... "time for a bath"...or if it is a flop ,

"seven calls it quits on sunday night bath"

"did they even need to take bath"

"Sevens bath too cold"..
(Clearly I've got too much time on my hands)

Gotta love bathies name :D ...I do anyway.

Well I will say it; what is the point of having Chris Bath co-host?? The most overrated news reader/personality in Australia.

Would have been better with Mike all on his lonesome, IMO.

Well, credit to Boland and Llewellyn for not making it as tacky and fluffy as I expected it to be. This week has a good balance with one entertainment story, one investigative/serious piece, and one feel-good story.

They're using Sunrise Family emails to promote the story line-up, and it looks like 3 stories per show at 15 minutes per story (10 minute report, 5 mins for questions - I took out 15 mins for ads).

The email confirms that this week's lineup includes a token interview with Jelena Dokic by Grant Denyer (who, despite a broken back, apparently plays tennis with her ), the interview with Coldplay, and that Lapthorne story which looks an absolute must-watch. The Lapthorne piece has given huge promotion, so you can expect huge ratings (at least for the first half of the show).

So it's looking good for 7 - perhaps Boland and Llewellyn can work together and pull this off after all.

I look forward to see how they use the 'latenight' style set
I also hope the question and answer bit of the show adds to the story. I don't want to be sitting through dead air. It's either engaging or it's not!

The city backdrop on the set is the same shot Seven used for The NightCap opener.

Thanks cart.
That stone work is foul, very dated as well.

The corner with the big screen looks ok, I guess that will be the main presentation point.

Thanks Cart. I really like the video wall with the monitors above the screen.
It would look great as a news set.

The VO at the start is a bit misleading... 'Live across Australia, Chris Bath and Mike Munro'.

So should they remove every live bug on Sunrise and Today?
It's live to tape for us so it's still live.
