Good news for Sydney viewers with TVS going digital and so TVS will be added around March this year to Digital 44 on Channel 44. As a result, the Digital 44 homepage has moved to Channel 42.

Thanx for that - I thought I read somewhere in the past the govt was going to kill off Digital 44 because no one was watching it - TVS does have some pretty good stuff (or used to) although I do prefer c31 in Melbourne...

Wasn't 44 'Channel NSW' up until mid last year? Gosh that channel was pointless - a 24 hour, 7 day rolling video channel bringing us the all-important traffic and surf images.
Anyway, it's good to see TVS on digital - in all the years of analog we've never been able to get it (or at least, with watchable picture & sound)

Channel NSW was on LCN45. As far as I know, 44 has always been Digital 44's homepage.

Looks like testing for digital broadcasting by Sydney's TVS begins next week on Channel 44. Until the end of March, TVS will be a part of the Digital 44 datacasting platform before TVS expectedly becomes alone on the 4x LCN's from April 1 at the latest.
