Yes... That's really annoying the hell out of me. There isn't even any logic to it either... At first I thought they were using the blue background for the more serious stories and the live shot for the lighter stories, but the other night they had a story about a murder with the live shot and then a story about the Winter Olympics with the blue background. I don't quite get their reasoning.

You know me, I couldn't stay quiet when I see something like that. I sent a reply telling them not to misuse this service to send spam ever again, and especially not with a news flash heading.
They don't take complaints by email so I doubt they'll do anything... if they do it again I'll mail a letter

It's a bit odd having News Exchange out in the open like that. Normally it's in another room due to the noise associated with monitoring feeds / constant talkback chatter etc. I suppose it is still away from the main newsroom area though... All in all, it's a very impressive facility. Much better than Seven at Martin Place.
