Yep, Outback +π is a 3.14159265.... hour timeshift of the regular Outback Service.

Cool, would love to see how the EPG looks like - can see programs starting at all matter of strange times!

Outback Select is not a PPV service, in fact, it's a FTA service that screens selections from Outback's pay channels to try and entice them into subscribing, Only available in Standard Definition.

Ah okay, sounds good and hope the channel has a 24/7 ticker or banner annoying people to join Outback proper (in the Outback tradition of annoying people)! I do think however we need a 'Outback Box Office' type of PPV service to compliment the movie channels

No timeshift service of musicone will be run due to the issue with satellite capacity.

Sounds fair, although it leads me to assume there's not much room on these transponders?

View Postmsheldrick, on 22 November 2010 - 05:29 PM, said:

The musicone family of channels will be soley music, nothing else, and will be commercial free because of the funding brought in from Outback NZ's 24/7 infomericals. musictwo will remain as musicextra. I made a typo before calling it "musicone extra"

No +2 service will run due to programming rights and satellite capacity.

Once again - sounds fair, maybe the music related programs could be on Outback Reality? I'm assuming you then have no other problems with my other suggestions in the previous or this post?

Not to be overly picky here or anything, but XYZ has the exclusive distro rights to Discovery Channel in Australia, that's why SelecTV never carried it.

Ah okay, thought XYZ wasn't in charge of Discovery's distro rights - it's been removed

I like it, although you might want to make it clear that the 'Kids' channels are apart of the 'Starter Pack' (as there's a separate Kids package) and that the HD channels is apart of the 'HD Starter Pack' so you don't get any confusion about them being the only HD channels when there's others available. One other thing, you might want to point out (like you did with the 'musicone Add-On') that 'Starter Pack' subscribers then has access to Kevin's 24/7 Porn Lounge, Outback Direct and Outback Adult.

BTW, to include Outback Kids - I moved Outback Living to the 'Entertainment' package (to keep the eight owned & operated channel amount).

So everyone is making room for Christmas food? Good plan.

Seriously though, good to see we are finally launching in the States and the Kingdom. I've been waiting for that all year.

Due to delays in finalizing carriage deals with various cable networks - the launch of Outback International into America and England has been pushed out until early January. Rest assured though that it will launch in the first few days of 2011 with a great line-up!

In fact Outback has quite a fair few viewers, its due to Outback's live coverage of 'Armadale Pub AfterDark LIVE' which has good ratings in the important police, housewife and Kevin demograhpics. Police view the program to alert them when they need to arest the next drunken person to think they're better than what they really are, housewifes to see what their husbands are up to and Kevin to see how Armadale is going.

Well that explains all the emails the station gets complaining about "thems drunk fellas on that talky box".
