GWN started doing it when the new package was launched but soon stopped. It's a shame because the gray box looks odd without the text.

Baby, It's Busy Down In Bunbury
NOEL BRUNNING is ready for a nap. It is two o'clock in the afternoon and he is feeling a bit worse for wear.
But it is not the new burden of single-handedly presenting the Golden West Network's evening news that has worn him out, it is his nine-week-old daughter, Madison, who has kept him up half the night before.
"It's a bit of a shock to the system," he said on the phone from Bunbury.
Brunning, who shared the news reading responsibilities with Sonia Vinci for a year, recently took over as sole presenter after Vinci left the station to rejoin 6PR radio station in Perth.
He said since GWN had dropped its hour-long bulletin and switched to a half-hour news format late last year the plan had always been to go to a single presenter.
"I'm happy with that. I enjoy doing it very much," he said.
"GWN takes their news very seriously, especially since WIN came in as some competition.
"GWN has reporters all over the State and they like to do the regional news very well.
"It's such a big State and you really realise how big it is when you have to airbag stuff down and bearer lines can be a bit tricky. Now we have an affiliation with Seven, they can on-send stuff to us. But there are all sorts of things that can come up."
Brunning knows something about the more remote areas of WA, having started his career on radio as a 19-year-old breakfast announcer at 6KA in Karratha in the early 80s.
"I loved it. I love the Pilbara and I go back up there every holiday," he said.
He moved to Golden West Radio in 1985 and started doing voiceovers for television before moving on to present sports and then the news.
Brunning has kept his hand in radio as well. Until October, when his baby's pending arrival forced him to quit, he presented 6PR's Sunday morning gardening program in Perth.
Brunning is originally from Perth but for now, at least, has no desire at all to move away from Bunbury. He also has an interest in a coffee shop in the town and spends his spare moments roasting coffee for the business.
"I have met so many people down here. My family and the kids are here, my friends are here.
"All the action's here. They don't do it (news presenting) any different from Perth," he said.
"I always say I want to be here and it's good the job I like is here as well."

I saw Noel yesterday at his Mojos restaurant in Bunbury. He also has a campaign website www.noelbrunning.com.au

No, I didn't know that!
I knew about the Seven Network feeds on D1, but not the existance of GWN feeds on Intelsat 8. I think I'm going to have to get a second dish and set it up to be steerable.
Thanks for the videos Smacca!
