Nice black screen on STW at the moment.

What a shame they don't broadcast a black screen 24/7 because it'd probably be better than half the shit they put to air. And don't even get me started about the solid watermark they're using on the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony to cover up the dotty Nine watermark. Bloody disgraceful. There are dotty Nine logos on the set, microphones, jackets etc... The watermark cover up is just ugly and pointless. :nonono:

It would be better if they just went to WIN so it could be passed off as Nine on WIN. You can't really pass of :::9 on 9.

None of which is live! What's with the turn-around?

What's the deal with that anyway? Why do the Olympics viewers have to suffer, while the cricket viewers don't. :dontknow:

Yes. That has me completely bamboozled.
I can't see the logic. Hang on, this is WIN we're dealing with. Logic has nothing to do with it.

AFAIK the program deal with WIN for STW is that Today and newses have to be played as close to the Eastern time (live, 1, 2 or 3 hour delay) ... but it would be primarily be better for programming to not have extra programs going to air to get back on the 3hr delay.

It'd be more of a bitch to have it live - you'd miss so much if you woke up at 8am.

But I was thinking ... Today does a second opener at 7am ... so in theory, STW could drop the first 1.5 hours, the early news and GMA --- go to Today @ 4am live, then into the olympics for live telecast.... geez, I could be in programming.

Very true!

It's a joke that STW don't show cricket live on the weekends anymore.
