Is anyone else getting sick of Karina?

She is doing a fine job in her own right :)
Wow, it's like I've died and went to heaven. But then they realized it wasn't my time yet. So they sent me to a brewery.

Anyone know why we are getting Sydney's news?

Karina came on after the middle of the bulletin sting and said it was due to unforeseen circumstances.

It's funny how the ABC think this is an acceptable practice. I've heard many stories of Sydney crashing to Melbourne's news, Brisbane crashing to Sydney, Perth taking the Sydney bulletin, etc... Yet if it were Seven, Nine or Ten there is no way they would go to air with a bulletin from another state at 5/6pm.

Seven Brisbane even managed to get on-air a couple of weekends ago after the whole station had been flooded by a storm. So what's the ABC's excuse that seems to make this a common habit?

Yes on Good Friday and Xmas Day, but those were national evening bulletins anchored from Sydney. It wasn't "Sydney's" news.

Alright, well I'll let them off this time. In the past its been due to technical issues which most other stations seem to be able to deal with and still get to air.

I doubt WA would be getting a new set before the rest of the country, so my question would be - how do you know it was a key?

Because they had a different desk top, it was lit differently, no western australia text on the silver panel and it was also obvious as hell with the lines around Karina.
SA news was coming from Ultimo for a bit while their studio was getting upgraded and I guess automation was being installed.

Has anyone got the old ABC News Theme, the one by Tony Ansell & Peter Wall used from 1985 - 2005? It'd be great to grab hold of a copy of it for an assignment, the link on for the attachment on this page is no longer valid. Cheers.

Has anyone got ABC News videos (openers and or closers) from 1985 - 2004, I am looking for good quality videos of the three sets of graphics used during this time. All the links of old ABC News videos have been removed, I have looked on YouTube but I have only been able to find a low quality ABC News Special from Oct 2001. Greatly Appreciated!
